Oswald Simons

Ossie is a true son of the soil. He was born on the island of Salt Cay and spent his childhood
there, later attending school in Grand Turk. He committed himself to civic activities from an
early age and as a boy scout he had the privilege of being chosen to make a presentation to
Queen Elizabeth II on her visit to the islands in 1966.

Ossie began his professional career as a teacher before entering the banking world. Over two
decades, he served the banking industry in The Bahamas and Turks and Caicos. In 1982, he
became the first country manager of Barclays Bank in Providenciales. Ossie’s commitment
to his work and determination eventually led him to become a licensed broker and realtor in
South Florida.

Upon returning home to Turks and Caicos in the 1990s , Ossie founded Aqua Atlantic Reality
Ltd , capitalizing on the thriving development boom. His friend and business partner, Tony
Lancaster, joined Agua as a Broker a short while later.

Throughout his professional and business life, Ossie has upheld his civic duties. Notably, he
served as a Director and Deputy Chairman of the Turks and Caicos Financial Services
Commission and as the Chairman of the Board of Governors of TC Invest, a company
established by the government to foster and administer commercial investments in the islands.
Ossie’s journey is a testament to his dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to his
homeland. From his humble beginnings as a boy scout to becoming a successful entrepreneur,
Ossie has left an indelible mark on the Turks and Caicos Islands.
